PERCYS PARK

Public BBQ

Percy's Park in Byford offers a solid mix of facilities spread across open grassed areas. The park features two playground sections catering to different age groups - a small area with padded flooring for toddlers and a larger setup for older children, complete with a flying fox and balancing beams. A half basketball court provides extra activity options. Sheltered seating areas offer shade alongside the park's established trees, particularly around the creek bed. Clean toilets and drinking water are available on site. The park shows signs of age with some equipment appearing run down, and maintenance seems inconsistent with damaged items sometimes removed rather than replaced. The BBQ facilities are reportedly non-functional, and lighting needs improvement. Adjacent bushland adds natural appeal but may concern some visitors. Off-road parking keeps footpaths clear for pedestrians. The combination of space, shade, and facilities makes it a practical spot for family gatherings and letting kids burn energy, though the aging infrastructure and BBQ issues are notable drawbacks.
